George Miller has said that the best version of his film is in black and white, with no dialogue. BLACK & CHROME is an attempt to realize Miller’s alternate vision. The cinematography, the editing, the sound design, and the score, are now represented in a completely new experience.

  1. I’m really curious how you created the audio track because it sounds like you had the SFX audio stems to be able to make this mix.

    1. I’d imagine they demuxed the 7.1 Biu-Ray track, removed the center channel (and others tracks when necessary to eliminate dialogue) and muxed it back together.

  2. I don’t really get it. Yeah, it looks somewhat novel as black and white, but removing the audio is counterproductive. What little plot there is to this movie becomes unintelligible without dialogue. Should have added some title cards.

    1. I think you have the latest info mate if you bought it and havent found it. I doubt it would be an easter egg. All i know is what i read here but its old:

at the bottom of this one it states: (dated July 2015)
“Despite the absence of the black-and-white cut, speculation about its release has already begun, with either the American Blu-ray or a separate collector’s edition of the film being named as the releases that could include Miller’s alternate version.”

      the full article is here:

      on io9: (23rd Sept 2015)
“At that time, Miller told Slashfilm that he had demanded that the Blu-ray release of Fury Road include a version that’s just black-and-white, with no soundtrack beyond the isolated music score. Alas, the Blu-ray that was just released includes no such version.”

Im still hoping for a special edition.
